Bank of Nova Scotia

This is a copy of the letterhead which was used for the Bank of Nova Scotia in Maces Bay from 1919 to 1922.  Mr. Charles (C.N.) Wilson operated the branch during this time in a building which had previously been used as a store operated by Joe Ellis.  Charlie Wilson married Beatrice Small from Maces Bay and they moved to Saint John and raised their family there.  The family spent many good times in and around Maces Bay where Charlie developed Lake Retreat.  He was well remembered by the men and women in Maces Bay to whom he offered employment in his businesses over the years.
